ExpoWalk — how your data is handled
Last updated 6 September 2026 · ExpoWalk is run by Akhil Mittal, Ambala, India · info@expowalk.app
ExpoWalk is a trade-show planner that runs in your browser. It was built on one principle: what you record at a booth belongs to you and never reaches us.
Where each kind of data lives
| Data | Where | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Booth recordings, visiting-card photos, paper-note photos, transcripts, minutes, your stars, notes and visits | Your phone or computer only (browser storage). The app never uploads them. | Only you. Delete them any time from Meetings, or "Delete everything on this phone" in your account. |
| Audio and photos while you press "Process" | Sent by your device directly to Google's Gemini API on Vertex AI (paid tier). Google states it does not use paid-API data to train its models. | Google, during processing only. ExpoWalk's server never receives them — with your own key it is not involved at all; with the free allowance it only hands your device a one-hour permission token and counts how many you used. |
| Name, email, company, designation, phone, country, your consent, and counters of processed recordings and scans | ExpoWalk's database (Supabase, USA) — only if you sign in. | ExpoWalk (Akhil Mittal). Used to run the free allowance and, with your consent, to contact you about this app and precision-manufacturing products. Never sold or shared. |
| Minutes emailed to you | Opt-in only. Relayed through ExpoWalk's mail provider (Resend) to your own address at that moment. | Not stored by ExpoWalk. |
Sign in with Google
If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address and profile picture from Google, to identify your account. We request no other Google data and never access your Gmail, Drive, contacts or calendar.
What we do not do
No analytics or advertising trackers. No selling or sharing of personal data. No access to your recordings, photos, transcripts or minutes.
Your rights
Email info@expowalk.app to see, correct or delete your account details or to withdraw consent; we act within 7 days. Everything stored on your device you control directly.
Recording others
Many places, including Illinois (IMTS), require every participant's consent to record a private conversation. The app asks you to confirm consent before each recording; obtaining it is your responsibility.
